Job Introduction
We are hiring on behalf of our client based in Shah Alam, a well-established MNC company with over 20 years of presence in the industry. This role offers exposure to group accounts, regional operations, and collaboration with external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or part-professional qualification (ACCA, MIA or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience handling partial to full set of accounts in an established company.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems / ERP and strong computer literacy.
- Solid knowledge of computerized accounting and full set accounts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills with a pleasant and professional personality.
- Knowledge of the forwarding / logistics industry is an added advantage.
- Possess own transport with a valid driving license.
Major Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts, monthly closing, financial reports, and schedules for a group of companies.
- Manage daily cash flow, cash balance, petty cash, and ensure sufficient funds for operations.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, supervise staff, and ensure task compliance.
- Liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents, company secretaries, and relevant authorities.
- Act as coordinator between internal auditors and inter-departments, including admin and operations.
- Manage bank matters, AR follow-ups, credit notes, SOA, and non-trade invoices by monthly deadlines.
- Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation, asset tagging, journal vouchers, and forex bookings.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management as and when required.
