About CMA CGM FICOM (Finance Corporate Office Malaysia)
Located at Wisma Consplant 2, Subang Jaya, FICOM is the extended team of the Finance Corporate Division of the the global shipping and logistics leader, CMA CGM Group. About the Role
The incumbent will support Manager and Senior Manager of Accounting Operations Team to perform financial accounting, review and reporting for major entities/transactions within the APAC Group.
Key Result Areas
- Financial Accounts of corporate entity is prepared on time, accurate and incompliance with accounting standards.
- Quality, accuracy and timeliness of reporting processes for each period closing.
- Recommend and perform process improvement for existing portfolios to improve process efficiency and adding value to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Closing
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements are prepared accurately and submitted within Group reporting timelines.
- Lead and review General Ledger (GL) closing activities, including trial balance review and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and propose accounting entries in compliance with applicable accounting standards and Group policies.
- Perform analytical review to validate completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data prior to submission.
Compliance & Audit Coordination
- Act as the main contact person for financial accounting and reporting matters for assigned entities.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, addressing audit queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to quarter-end and year-end submission deadlines.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance internal controls, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements to add value to stakeholders.
- Encourage constructive feedback within the team to drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Team Support
- Support Manager / Senior Manager in overseeing accounting operations.
- Act as back-up for team members when required.
- Serve as successor to the Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
- Handle ad hoc assignments and provide analytical support during critical reporting periods.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or reporting.
- 23 years of audit experience will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS / applicable accounting standards.
- Experience in SAP or equivalent ERP/consolidation systems preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word
