Assistant Manager-Finance-Malaysia

Work Location: Subang Jaya (onsite)

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support our Finance function in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and statutory compliance for DP World Malaysia and its newly acquired companies.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts for DP World Logistics Malaysia and any newly acquired companies to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing and reporting processes.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team, ensuring accurate daily operations.
• Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes for DP World Logistics Malaysia.
• Coordinate and support internal and external auditors to ensure seamless annual audit cycles.
• Coordinate with external tax agents to manage annual corporate tax returns, compliance, and SST submissions.
• Lead the implementation of new finance processes, internal controls, and ERP/financial systems as required by regional or global management.
• Enforce strict compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Proven experience directly supervising or guiding junior accounting staff.
• Advanced hands-on experience managing full sets of accounts, financial reporting, corporate budgeting, audits, Malaysian statutory requirements and SST submissions.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, internal controls, and financial systems. Advanced literacy in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication skills, and a meticulous eye for detail.
