Support the day-to-day finance operations, including payments, cash management, reporting, and controls. This role works closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial processing, timely payments, and smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Payments
- Review and process supplier payments, staff claims, and other payment requests.
- Ensure all payments are accurate, properly approved, and supported with documentation.
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement.
- Track outstanding payments and follow up where needed.
Cash & Bank Management
- Monitor cash balances to support daily operations.
- Coordinate fund transfers and ensure sufficient funding across entities.
- Liaise with banks and maintain proper records.
- Review and ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations.
Payroll & Expenses
- Process payroll payments accurately and on time.
- Work closely with HR to ensure employee records are updated.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Track cash flow against budget and highlight key variances.
- Support preparation of financial reports, including event or project cost tracking.
- Monitor expenses and support cost control initiatives.
Process & Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial controls.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Identify areas for process improvement and support implementation.
Systems & Collaboration
- Support finance systems and workflows to ensure smooth operations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Provide guidance or support to junior team members when needed.
Ad-hoc & Projects
- Support finance-related projects, events, or assignments as required.
- Assist with additional tasks to support business operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Good understanding of financial operations, payments, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders.
- Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player.
