Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial and tax reporting.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and statutory requirements.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control measures.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory bodies.
Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and growth plans.
Implement internal controls and risk management processes.
Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Understand and analyze financial implications specific to the Lift and Elevator or Project Engineering business, including project costing, profit recognition, maintenance contracts, and capital expenditure.
Requirements
Professional Qualification: Member of MIA and/or ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MIA or equivalent (must be recognized in Malaysia).
Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Prior experience in the lift and elevator industry or related engineering/construction sectors is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, Malaysian tax laws, and compliance standards.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
