We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly financial statements and reports.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.
- Perform account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Assist in developing budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Regularly follow up with customers regarding late payments to resolve overdue accounts.
- Work with auditors during financial audits.
- Analyse financial data and offer insights to aid decision-making.
- Maintain thorough records and documentation for all financial transactions.
- Support payroll processing and related tasks.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Monitor cash flow and conduct bank reconciliations to ensure consistent funding for expenses.
- Manage month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Streamline processes and enhance efficiency by recommending relevant technologies and platforms.
- Provide financial guidance and support to local management.
- Familiar with M'sia Tax requirement.
- Any other tasks as assigned by team lead.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent, Malaysia CPA.
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Malaysia CPA certification preferred.
- Bilingual candidates with proficiency in Chinese preferred.
