Assistant Manager, Financial Accounting & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Financial Accounting & Reporting to join our team at Wing Tai Malaysia Sdn Bhd in George Town, Penang. This is a full-time position that will play a vital role in maintaining the company&aposs financial records and reporting. As part of the Accounting team, you will be responsible for a range of duties that support the overall financial health and compliance of the organisation.

What you&aposll be doing

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address queries
• Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required
• Mentor and train junior members of the accounting team

What we&aposre looking for

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
• Strong background in financial accounting and reporting, preferably gained experience in the Corporate or real estate environment
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
