Assistant Manager, FP&A

We are looking for a commercially minded Assistant Manager, FP&A to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics for our Malaysia business, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders locally while reporting into the APAC regional office in Singapore.

Office Location: KL / Selangor

Work Arrangement: 5-day work week, Monday to Friday

• Financial Planning & Budget Management: Lead the annual budgeting cycle and ongoing forecasting; monitor budget execution, recommend adjustments based on business needs, and maintain budget data in relevant systems.
• Financial Analysis & Decision Support: Conduct regular analysis of key performance indicators (revenue, costs, expenses, profitability, etc.) and provide actionable insights to support management decision-making.
• Performance Tracking & Evaluation: Track and evaluate financial performance across the company and key departments/projects; identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Reporting & Management Materials: Prepare recurring financial reports, variance analysis/commentary, and meeting materials in line with internal and HQ/APAC requirements.
• Business Partnering & Process Improvement: Drive improvements to finance processes to enhance efficiency and service quality; collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely financial insights.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, management reporting, or related roles.
• Technical Skills: Strong financial fundamentals (budgeting, forecasting, cost control) with advanced Excel skills for complex analysis; experience with ERP/planning tools is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; analytical and structured problem-solver; able to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
• Language: Strong English (spoken and written) required; Mandarin/Chinese proficiency is preferred.
