Client Industry: Financial Institution Location: Klang Key Responsibilities: IT Security Governance - Ensure IT security controls, configurations, and best practices are properly implemented by external vendors.
- Monitor security compliance, access control, backup strategies, and data protection measures.
- Conduct periodic security assessments and follow up with vendors for remediation.
- Oversee incident escalation to ensure timely vendor response and closure.
IT Infrastructure Oversight - Oversee the company's IT infrastructure operations (network, servers, cloud services, end-user devices) through vendor management.
- Ensure vendors carry out maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrades as required.
- Validate vendor recommendations and ensure solutions align with company needs.
Vendor Management - Act as the main point of contact for all IT service providers (infrastructure, security, software, cloud, hardware).
- Evaluate vendor performance against SLA, escalate issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Review vendor contracts, proposals, quotations, and manage renewals.
- Ensure all vendors follow company policies, compliance standards, and documentation requirements.
Project Coordination - Collaborate with vendors to plan and roll out IT projects such as system upgrades, new solutions, infrastructure enhancements, and security initiatives.
- Coordinate internal requirements gathering, project timelines, user testing, and communication.
- Track project progress, highlight risks, and ensure smooth implementation.
Governance, Compliance & Planning - Maintain IT policies, SOPs, asset management, and documentation with support from vendors.
- Ensure IT operations comply with audit, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
- Support budgeting and procurement activities for IT services and equipment.
Key Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, or IT operations.
- Strong experience in vendor management across multiple IT domains.
- Good understanding of IT security, networks, systems, and cloud technologies.
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to evaluate technical proposals and challenge vendors where necessary.
