ROLE OVERVIEW
Lead the Procurement Excellence team and ensure compliance, quality, and operational efficiency across procurement activities. You will guide the team, manage audits, and oversee import/custom processes while maintaining adherence to regulatory and company standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance & Quality Systems
- Develop, review, and maintain procurement procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Lead internal and external audits; manage and resolve audit findings within deadlines.
- Conduct vendor performance reviews in collaboration with the Quality Management team.
- Handle and resolve stakeholder complaints.
- Ensure effective document and record control; provide training to the procurement team.
- Implement and enforce CAPA system to prevent recurrence of non-conformities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and departmental procedures.
- Facilitate smooth customer and external audits with minimal operational disruption.
Customs & Imports
- Supervise customs clearance for imported items, including duty and tax exemptions.
- Manage disposal of items under exemption facilities.
- Coordinate with authorities (Customs, MIDA, MITI) and facilitate customs audits.
- Prepare and maintain accurate import reports, records, and documentation.
- Ensure timely renewal of licenses and permits (e.g., Caustic Soda, LPG).
- Safeguard import documents in accordance with record retention policies.
- Manage team performance, development, and cross-departmental relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in quality systems, auditing, or compliance roles (manufacturing experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and GDPMD standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage conflicts and build stakeholder relationships.
