Overview
The ideal candidate will assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will support the Project Manager in monitoring project progress and preparing updates for relevant stakeholders, clients, and project team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing Solar PV projects from development to execution.
- Coordinate project resource requirements and support execution activities.
- Prepare and update project schedules with input from relevant stakeholders.
- Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Provide support for Business Development and Operation & Maintenance activities of Solar PV projects.
- Assist in developing and executing project risk management plans.
- Maintain logs of project issues and risks and support in resolution.
- Support coordination with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets to minimize cost overruns.
- Support contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and owners.
- Assist in producing, reviewing, and updating project schedules using MS Project or other scheduling software.
- Liaise with government agencies for permits and approvals under guidance of the Project Manager.
- Prepare and compile weekly project status reports.
- Contribute input towards process and documentation improvements across the company.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Construction Management, with exposure to project management and planning.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in supporting or coordinating commercial infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with site-specific project strategies and development activities.
- Ability to coordinate with project staff and sub-contractors under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Strong IT skills with working knowledge of planning software (MS Project or similar).
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Methodical and detail-oriented approach.
