Job Description

Job Responsibilities :-

  • Lead and manage a team of buyers, overseeing the procurement of direct mechanical components required for assembly line operations.
  • Monitor all purchase orders to ensure accurate tracking and timely updates of supplier delivery dates within the SAP system.
  • Work closely with the material planning and sales teams to maintain inventory and receipts in alignment with established plans.
  • Oversee supplier shipments to guarantee uninterrupted material availability and ensure on-time delivery that meets operational needs.
  • Coach and guide operational buyers, setting clear expectations and tracking performance through defined KPIs.
  • Ensure the operational buying team maintains clear, consistent communication with suppliers to secure timely deliveries.
  • Develop and enhance processes for converting purchase requests into purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to delivery timelines.


Education & Experience :

  • -Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, ideally supplemented with certifications in Supply Chain or Procurement Management
  • .At least 5 years of hands-on experience in operational purchasing, preferably within the semiconductor or industrial machinery equipment industries
  • .Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role
  • .Experience in high-mix, low-volume purchasing environments, including contract manufacturing (CM) orders with high part counts, is preferred
  • .Familiarity with precision machining, mechatronic assemblies, raw materials, surface treatments, or related supply markets
  • .Experience with SAP systems is preferred
  • .Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Power Point, Power BI)
  • .Strong negotiation skills for managing supplier contracts and terms
  • .Ability to manage supplier relationships and assess supplier performance
  • .Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate purchasing data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
  • .Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and team members
  • .Solid problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges efficiently
  • .Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
