Assistant Manager Regulatory Compliance
Location: Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Extendable Contract)
Salary: Up to RM6,000/month
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Regulatory Compliance to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our operations meet regulatory requirements, strengthen governance, and enhance risk management practices within the insurance and financial services industry.
What Youll Do
- Lead and manage the Compliance function as a trusted second line of defence.
- Provide expert regulatory compliance advisory and technical support on Enterprise Governance, Risk & Compliance (eGRC) systems.
- Update and maintain the Compliance Matrix and monitor Compliance Requirements Self-Assessment (CRSA) across departments.
- Review and enhance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk-based assessments, reviews, and testing, identifying gaps and recommending corrective measures.
- Monitor regulatory developments and communicate updates to management and staff.
- Deliver compliance and eGRC system training/briefings to internal stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc compliance projects and collaborate with Group and project teams to strengthen compliance frameworks.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 35 years experience in governance, compliance, audit, risk management, insurance, or banking.
- Hands-on experience with compliance systems/platforms (e.g., eGRC) is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of insurance/financial industry regulations and understanding of AML/CFT risk issues.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach.
