Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Wholesale Banking Operations team within Group Operations as an Assistant Manager specializing in Trade Finance and Supply Chain Financing. The successful candidate will support the processing and management of supply chain financing transactions. This role requires a solid understanding of supply chain financing and trade finance products, strong organizational skills, and the ability to contribute to operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in managing the team responsible for processing supply chain financing transactions,including invoice financing and purchase order financing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of supply chain financing transactions in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, risk, and compliance, to ensure smooth transaction processing and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supply chain financing and trade finance products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to supply chain financing transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on transaction volumes, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Performance Metrics Expectations:

  • Transaction Accuracy: Maintain a transaction accuracy rate of 99% or higher.
  • Processing Time: Ensure all transactions are processed within the agreed service level agreements (SLAs), with a target of 95% of transactions processed on time.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Achieve a customer satisfaction score of 90% or higher based on client feedback and surveys.
  • Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, with no major audit findings.
  • Team Performance: Contribute to developing and maintaining a high-performing team with a target of 90% of team members meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Support the implementation of at least two significant process improvement initiatives per year that result in measurable efficiency gains.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trade finance, supply chain financing, or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain financing and trade finance products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with supply chain financing software and systems.
  • Professional certification in supply chain financing (e.g., CSCF) or trade finance (e.g., CDCS, CITF)is a plus.
