- Providehighqualityandeffectivecommunicationsontheunderwritingdecisionstocustomersanddistributionchannels.
- EnsureallunderwritingactivitiesaredeliveredinaccordancetotherelevantLBUandGroupHealthUnderwritingStandards.
- Proactivelymonitorandidentifyopportunitiestoimprovetheunderwritingrulesengineandprocessestoenhanceoperationalefficiencyandimprovecustomeronboardingjourney.
- Provideunderwritinginputonnewbusinessapplicationsatproductdevelopmentstageandmarketingcampaigns
- ParticipateinrelevantGroupHealthprojectsandimplementunderwritinginitiativesorcampaignsacrosstheregionsinAsia.
- Performdataanalysis,prepareandsubmittoGroupHealthregularMIreportforperformancemonitoringonnewbusinessandunderwriting.
- CollaboratewithGroupHealthUnderwritingandreinsurancepartner(s)ontheimplementationofenhancedunderwritingpracticesandguidelinestoensuretheyareappropriatetothemarket,meetinglegalandregulatoryrequirementsandcompany'sinternalpolicies
- Collaboratewithotherinternalstakeholders,suchasGroupTechnology,Operations,Customer,Product,RiskandFinanceteamtohelpmanagehealthbusinessprofitabilityanddeliverexcellentcustomerexperiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Healthcare administration, Health science or a related f ield
- Solid track record in the insurance underwriting field with over 5 years relevant experience in Life and Health underwriting, preferably in International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) product
- In-depth knowledge of insurance and familiar with actuarial terminology
- Professional qualifications in Life Insurance including LOMA, ALU or equivalent qualifications is desirable.
- Self-motivated and ability to exercise good and effective independent judgement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
