Job Purpose
To lead and manage Warehouse Management for Rapid Bus (RKL) and provide leadership, planning, technical direction, communication and coaching skills to ensure safe, high quality and most cost-effective warehouse management.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement overall warehousing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives for Rapid Bus warehouses (Rapid KL) which currently comprise of nine warehouses with more than 15k Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) at a total value of around RM40Mil in Klang Valley.
- Lead and manage team of workers through motivation and coaching including dealing with issues such as recruitment, training, promotion and disciplinary of staff.
- Oversee the operation of the warehouse including ordering, receiving, stocking, processing and distribution of materials.
- Analyze warehousing performance metrics and develop strategies for continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity via regular comparison with best practices in the warehousing industry
- Ensure workplace health & safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building as well as stock safety and security.
- Ensure productivity targets are met and maintained computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Keep stock control systems & physical up to date and planning for future requirements, maintain inventory control systems for all materials.
- Collaborate with internal (Procurement) and external (Rapid Bus) stakeholders and to align warehousing activities with business requirements and organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain designated work areas and arrange as needed; ensure orderly and safe condition of work areas, machineries, tools, fixtures and equipment; arrangement for repairs/replacements as needed.
