As the Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager, you will play a vital role in
elevating the hotels prestige and brand identity through strategic storytelling. The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, and possess a sophisticated understanding of brand positioning, public relations, and premium marketing practices.
The Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager will also be responsible for ensuring a
seamless and high-end guest experience through physical and visual touchpoints.
They will do this by overseeing the production of premium hotel collateral,
ensuring all guest-facing materials reflect the hotel's upscale amenities, and
maintaining brand consistency across every physical department of the property.
The Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager will also be responsible for providing
direct support to the Director of Marketing and Communications on all PR-related assignments. This includes high-level copywriting for press releases, cultivating relationships with key media partners, and the end-to-end organization of press events and lifestyle activations.

Your Day-to-day
People
- Assist the Marketing & Communications Department in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns
- Maintains regular contact with IHG cluster hotels for participation in IHG marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with other members of the hotel to promote the hotels brand and services
- Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for other members of the team
Guest Experience
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to reach and engage potential guests
- Manage the hotels social media presence, including creating and posting content, engaging with followers, and monitoring analytics and guests feedback online
- Coordinates, maintains and utilises an updated database of contacts for email marketing campaigns
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve the visibility of the hotels website in search engine results pages (SERPs)
- Actively engages with business partners and users of digital business platform
Financial
- Be mindful of the hotels budget when developing and executing digital marketing campaigns
- Track and report on the ROI of digital marketing campaigns to ensure that they are meeting their financial goals
- Participate in the preparation and planning of the of the departmental (marketing communications) budget and goals
- Assist and control departmental costs on an ongoing basis without sacrificing the quality of the hotels digital marketing efforts to ensure performance against budget.
- Provides input to the annual budget and sales and marketing plan
Responsible Business
- Execute that all e-commerce platforms are maintained with updated information and photographs (including but limiting to hotel managed websites, HCM, online travel agencies websites)
- Recommends and implements all promotional and marketing opportunities on GDS channels, Online Travel Agents websites, online weddings reference websites and related magazines (for rooms and food & beverage business)
- Initiate opportunities for IHG Rewards Club and IHG Business Rewards channels to further enhance hotel business
- Create and implement digital marketing campaigns that reflect the hotels commitment to sustainability and social responsibility
Accountability
- Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work on a consistent basis
- Be proactive in identifying and solving problems
- Track and report on the results of all digital marketing campaigns
- Provide support for PR related assignments from the Director of Marketing & Communications
What we need from you
- Bachelors degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Digital Marketing specialization or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a hospitality or hotel marketing setting with direct supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must speak local language. Other languages preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and practices, including social media, email marketing and SEO.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and other relevant digital marketing tools.
- Outstanding in communication skills, presentation skills, problem solving skills and works as a teamwork player
