Assistant Planning Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead projects and ensure execution of planning strategies.

• Assess capacity modules and production schedules.

• Drive down overall costs and enhance production quality to meet yearly cost and quality targets.

• Coordinate with other departments to resolve production problems.

• Oversee key performance metrics of the department.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge Requirements

• Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry practices.

• Proficiency in determining logistics requirements to support company business goals and implement strategies to achieve targets.

• Strong financial and analytical abilities skilled in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.

• Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes and global customs regimes.

• Proven track record in change management, implementing continuous productivity improvements, and cost reduction programs.

• Strong and persuasive communication skills.

• Proficient in personal computers, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and email.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.

• MBA preferred but not required.

• Minimum 6 years of related Materials Planning experience, including 4 years in a management role.

• Proficient in PC skills.

• Or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
