Job Description

Position: Assistant Process Manager

Working Hour: Mon- Fri, 8 - 5:30pm

Compensation: RM10/ Day (Meal), RM300/ Month (Fixed Transport), RM 40/ Month (Fixed Phone)

Report to: Process Manager

Current team size: Pioneer team (8-10)

Location: Lot 8 & 9, Kawasan Industri Padang Meha, 09400 Padang Serai, Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia

Interview Rounds: 1 round with Process Manager (prefer physical)

Job Scopes:

On-site Process Management

1. Approve process documents and related functional work instructions.

2. Supervise production workshops and relevant departments in implementing process documents, and continuously improve production processes.

3. Participate in improving process capability at each production stage.

4. Analyze and improve production efficiency across all processes.

5. Participate in process discipline inspections.

6. Take part in equipment acceptance, mainly evaluating process capability and production efficiency.

7. Analyze and handle major and urgent process abnormalities in workshops and related departments.

8. Be responsible for standardization work within the workshop.

9. Participate in evaluating supplier changes for raw and auxiliary materials related to finalized products.

10. Promote shared management of information resources related to lithium battery production, quality, and technology.

11. Participate in the review and disposal of slow-moving inventory (raw/auxiliary materials, components, and packaging materials).

12. Propose handling plans for returned lithium battery products, in-process defective items, and B-grade products.

Performance Management

1. Review departmental staffing structure and position allocation.

2. Review departmental functions and job descriptions.

3. Review monthly departmental performance evaluations.

4. Oversee performance improvement plans and their implementation.

6S and Safety Management (On-site)

1. Establish workshop 6S and safety management systems in line with company requirements.

2. Organize regular 6S and safety inspections.

3. Supervise and ensure timely rectification of non-compliance and safety hazards identified during inspections.

Personnel and Training Management

1. Lead workforce planning and position structuring within the department.

2. Promote employee awareness and corporate culture.

3. Build and develop a departmental talent pipeline.

4. Guide training plan development, conduct onboarding training, and evaluate job skills.

5. Allocate staff efficiently based on workload.

6. Propose workforce planning and staffing needs, and manage departmental personnel effectively.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or above majors in Chemical Engineering or Electrochemistry are preferred.

- Strong verbal communication and foreign language proficiency

- Solid problem analysis and problem-solving abilities

- Good coordination and interpersonal communication skills

- Strong teamwork capability

- Comprehensive knowledge of quality management techniques familiarity with quality management methodologies

- At least 5 years of experience in the industry

- Led the introduction of more than 5 new products or new processes within the industry
