Job Description

Position: Assistant Quality Manager

Working Hour: Mon- Fri, 8 - 5:30pm

Compensation: RM10/ Day (Meal), RM300/ Month (Fixed Transport), RM 40/ Month (Fixed Phone)

Report to: Quality Manager

Current team size: Pioneer team (about 30+)

Location: Lot 8 & 9, Kawasan Industri Padang Meha, 09400 Padang Serai, Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia

Interview Rounds: 1 round with Quality Manager (prefer physical)

Job Scopes:

Raw Material, Process, and Finished Product Quality Control & Improvement

1. Responsible for the inspection, control, management, and improvement of product quality, including raw materials, production processes, and finished products.

2. Responsible for the maintenance and management of monitoring and measuring equipment.

3. Responsible for organizing and implementing various quality management activities.

4. Responsible for organizing second-party and third-party audits and ensuring successful certification.

Customer Complaint & Product Return Management

1. Responsible for analyzing, handling, and filing customer complaints and product returns.

2. Responsible for formulating improvement measures and supervising their implementation by the production department.

Personnel & Training Management

1. Responsible for promoting awareness and company culture among employees.

2. Responsible for managing employees daily attendance and approving leave requests.

3. Responsible for developing departmental training plans, onboarding training for new employees, organizing skill assessments, and assisting HR with multi-skill training.

4. Allocate staff reasonably based on workload.

5. Provide guidance on test methods for employees.

6. Manage department staff, propose reasonable HR planning and staffing needs, and conduct exit interviews for departing employees.

6S & Safety Management

1. Establish departmental 6S and safety management systems according to company requirements.

2. Monitor the implementation of 6S and safety management on-site.

3. Evaluate and immediately address 6S issues and potential safety hazards.

4. Establish and maintain documentation for 6S and safety management.

Performance, Salary & Cost Management

1. Responsible for departmental manpower and position planning.

2. Prepare, review, and adjust job descriptions and departmental functions.

3. Collect workshop employees performance data and conduct evaluations based on set indicators.

4. Develop performance improvement plans with employees and follow up on progress.

5. Assist in the calculation of performance-based wages.

6. Responsible for verifying workshop reward and penalty expenses.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or above candidates with a major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related field are preferred.

- Strong organizational, coordination, problem-solving, control, and communication skills familiar with the ISO 9001 quality management system proficient in quality tools and quality control techniques and capable of implementing comprehensive quality management.

- Over 5 years of experience in quality management, proficient in applying quality management methods, and has received training in quality management systems
