Assistant Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking (Commodities Structured Trade Finance & Credit)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Assistant Relationship Manager to support the Corporate Banking team in managing relationships with corporate clients, with a focus on commodity financing, trade finance and corporate lending.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in managing a portfolio of corporate banking clients by providing day-to-day account servicing and relationship support.
• Perform financial spreading, credit analysis and prepare credit proposals to support lending decisions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and overseas offices to facilitate credit approvals, transaction execution and client servicing.
• Respond promptly to client enquiries and assist in resolving operational and credit-related issues.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), KYC reviews and periodic account reviews in accordance with the Bank's compliance framework and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in monitoring client documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct industry research, particularly within the commodity sector, to identify market trends and support portfolio risk assessment.
• Participate in trade finance and trade digitalisation initiatives, including process improvement and project implementation.
• Support the preparation of reports, presentations and other departmental documentation.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Department Head from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Corporate Banking experience, preferably as an Assistant Relationship Manager or Corporate Banking Associate.
• Experience in credit analysis, corporate lending, trade finance or syndicated loans will be an advantage.
• Exposure to commodity financing or commodity-related industries is preferred.
• Good understanding of KYC, AML and regulatory requirements applicable to Corporate Banking.
• Strong financial analysis and credit writing skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
