About the Role

Burger & Lobster Penang is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth operations, maintain high service standards, motivate the team, and create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate front-of-house team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Ensure high standards of food and beverage service are consistently maintained.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements where necessary.
• Coordinate front-of-house activities to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
• Assist with staff scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, hygiene standards, and operating procedures.
• Support the achievement of sales targets, customer satisfaction goals, and overall business objectives.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating excellent guest experiences.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and restaurant procedures.

Experience supporting recruitment activities, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or related environment is an advantage.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred. Relevant industry experience will also be highly valued.
