Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to student.
Support students participation in classroom activities, ensuring engagement and positive behavior.
Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students who require additional support.
Help implement behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or therapist.
Support students with daily living skills (e.g., mobility, communication, feeding, toileting) as required.
Prepare and organize learning materials, classroom equipment, and teaching aids.
Assist in monitoring and recording student progress and behavior for teacher review.
Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure students safety and well-being at all times.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support holistic student development.
Participate in training, meetings, and professional development activities as needed
Requirements
Minimum [Diploma / Certificate] in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field or SPM certificate with 2 years experience in child care/ child education.
Prior experience working with children with special needs is highly preferred.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Physically able to assist students with mobility or self-care needs when necessary.
Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and lesson support.
