Assistant Vice President, AI Enablement & Applied GenAI Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on AI Enablement & Applied GenAI Engineer to drive the adoption of AI across our technology organization. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, platform enablement, and Generative AI, helping transform how teams work by embedding AI into everyday processes, tools, and workflows.

You will be responsible for enabling teams across Engineering, DevOps, Service Management, Governance, and Testing to leverage AI effectively while ensuring solutions remain secure, compliant, and scalable. Beyond deploying AI solutions, you will also design and build intelligent workflows, automation capabilities, and agentic AI applications that solve real business problems.

Key Responsibilities

AI Enablement & Adoption

• Deploy and integrate AI capabilities into platforms such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Implement solutions including code review assistance, issue triage, sprint planning support, automated documentation, and enterprise knowledge discovery.
• Create user guides, training materials, and best practices to drive AI adoption across technology teams.
• Define and maintain AI governance standards, including access controls, data handling, audit logging, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor solution performance, reliability, usage patterns, and cost efficiency while reporting adoption outcomes to stakeholders.

Applied GenAI Engineering

• Design and build agentic AI workflows using leading foundation models and LLM platforms.
• Develop automated document ingestion, parsing, and data transformation pipelines.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions and knowledge retrieval architectures.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, monitoring, tracing, and guardrails to improve AI quality and reduce hallucination risks.
• Deliver practical automation solutions that improve productivity and streamline business processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Application Support, Governance, and business teams to ensure AI initiatives align with enterprise standards.
• Translate business requirements into scalable AI and automation solutions.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams, governance functions, and business stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are advantageous.
• AI/ML, Generative AI, or LLM-related certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 3-6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, AsyncIO, Pydantic) or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms through APIs and webhooks.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI, LLM-powered, or agentic workflow solutions.
• Exposure to regulated industries such as banking or financial services is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Experience working with LLM APIs and agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar orchestration platforms.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and vector databases.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and related integrations.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of governance, risk, security controls, and audit requirements within enterprise environments.
