Job Description

The role is critical in supporting the Section Head and Team Lead in executing the functions in the Compliance, Policy & Regulatory section. The staff(candidate) will contribute to governance, strategy planning, policy management, regulatory compliance and training initiatives etc, to ensure the organisation's compliance framework aligns with local regulations and Head Office's policy.

  • Governance & Reporting

Manage timely reporting to regulators, Head Office and local management committees.

Act as the main liaison for flash reporting incidents related to Compliance and AML matters.

Oversee secretariat functions for Compliance committees, ensuring effective communication and documentation.

  • Strategy & Financial Planning

Manage the coordination and submission of Compliance Action Program plans to Head Office.

Prepare budget plans and expense management.

Monitor Compliance initiatives and achievement to enhance compliance culture and organizational performance.

  • Entertainment & Gift Advisory

Provide advisory services and assess Entertainment & Gift requests for compliance with policies.

  • Policy Management

Review and update policies to align with regulations and Head Office directives.

Maintain the policy register and engage stakeholders to ensure policies are current and effective.

  • Regulatory Compliance

Assess the impact of new regulations on internal policies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to update policies for compliance with regulatory changes.

  • Compliance Training

Coordinate and oversee compliance training programs to ensure employees understand relevant policies and regulations.

  • Compliance support

Provide support to Compliance team including assisting with regulatory management, compliance testing, business unit support and advisory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g. Accountancy, Business Studies, Law)
  • 5 years of financial sector experience, with 4-5 years in related roles.
  • Experience in regulatory analysis and implementation.
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills, effective writing and comprehension skills.
  • MAS Regulatory liaison experience will be viewed favorably.
