Cold Chain Warehouse Operations
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of frozen products.
- Ensure warehouse freezers are consistently maintained at temperature required to preserve product quality and comply with food safety standards.
- Monitor freezer performance, temperature logs, and alarm systems; escalate deviations immediately and initiate corrective actions.
- Oversee FIFO/FEFO practices to minimize spoilage and ensure freshness of frozen inventory.
Logistics & Distribution
- Coordinate frozen product deliveries, ensuring cold chain integrity from warehouse to customer.
- Plan and manage truck load fill efficiency and aligning with warehouse dispatch schedules.
- Collaborate closely with the teams to validate order readiness, delivery priorities, and special handling instructions.
- Ensure accurate loading sequences based on delivery routes, drop points, and product sensitivity.
- Liaise with 3PLs and transporters to ensure timely, compliant, and temperature-controlled deliveries.
- Monitor truck capacity utilization and propose improvements to reduce underload, fuel waste, and delivery costs.
- Maintain documentation for shipping, delivery verification, and temperature compliance during transit.
Inventory, SAP & Compliance
- Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP ERP systems; ensure real-time stock visibility and traceability.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances within SAP.
- Generate SAP-based reports for inventory, logistics performance, and material movements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP) and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation for traceability, batch tracking, and shelf-life monitoring.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise warehouse and logistics staff; provide training on cold chain handling, hygiene, safety, and SAP transactions.
- Support the Warehouse Manager in shift planning, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive 5S, lean warehousing, and energy efficiency practices in cold storage operations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 35 years of experience in cold chain logistics or warehouse operations, preferably in frozen food or FMCG.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems
- Familiarity with cold storage equipment, temperature monitoring systems, and food safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in cold environments and respond to operational emergencies.
- Multilingual ability (e.g., English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin) is an advantage.
