Job Description

Role Value Proposition

Responsible for USGAAP reporting and analysis in the Malaysia Center of Excellence (CoE) for the assigned Local Business Units (LBU): Japan. Collaborate with the LBU on related business concerns and also drive continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support USGAAP actuarial financial reporting (e.g. DAC, VOBA) for assigned LBU and feed journal entry support information to Controllers group
  • Support for documentation of USGAAP production and analysis
  • Collaborate with peers to fully understand the needs and issues related to assigned LBU
  • Execute and improve existing controls on the reporting process
  • Identify potential process enhancement opportunity and execute the necessary changes

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required

  • Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science and at least 1 year working experience
  • Good progress in SOA Actuarial Examination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to analyze, interpret and address customer needs
  • Experience on actuarial and coding software such as Python, Prophet or Axis is useful
