About The Job
In this role, you will provide support in the review and analysis of accounting and reporting deliverables prepared by shared service provider. The role ensures financial information is accurate, complete and compliant with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and Company's policies.
- Review monthly, quarterly and annual reports and financial statements prepared by shared service provider, ensuring compliance with IFRS/MFRS, corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the performance of the shared service provider against service level agreements (SLA) and key performance indicators, escalating issues to Manager or Head of Corporate Accounting as required.
- Work with shared service teams to resolve discrepancies in accounting records and reconciliations
- Support the annual review of corporate policies and procedures (e.g. accounting policies, related party transactions).
- Assist in the annual outsourcing review for shared service provider. This includes preparation of outsourcing appendices and collation of supporting documentations.
- Support technical accounting assessments and implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist in the audit processes, liaising with external auditors, internal auditors, regulators, and shared service teams.
- Support special projects including system upgrades, process improvements and business transactions (e.g. M&A, restructuring)
- Provide data and analysis to Business Finance, Corporate Treasury and other CFO Division functions to support strategic decision-making.
We are looking for people who
- Degree in Finance or Accounting or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, ICAEW) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years (Assistant Manager) or 1 to 2 years (Associate) of working experience in financial institution preferably life insurance or established audit firm.
- Experience with outsourced or shared service finance environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge in IFRS/MFRS, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words and Power Point and financial systems and reporting tools.
- High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
- Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
