ROLE PURPOSE
Implement initiatives to enable the Department to solve data related problems and to support policy considerations using data analytics.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIE
- Execute initiatives to continuously improve the data quality and availability of JPS analytical datasets within allocated budget and resource constraints.
- Perform data wrangling, transformation, and processing of large and complex datasets to support analytics use cases across the Bank.
- Explore and integrate alternative and non-traditional data sources to enrich the Bank's analytics capabilities.
- Support efforts to develop and apply new statistical and data science methods to extract insights from available datasets.
- Execute initiatives to improve statistical analytics capabilities of the Department, including training for statistical analytics upskilling and technical publication.
- Carry out Community of Pratice for Analyctis (COPA) activities within the Bank to exchange knowledge and best practices.
- Perform cross-cutting analytics projects, including providing technical advisory to data management units
- Conduct research and keep abreast on the latest developments in the Bank, and in other central banks and industry in in relation to thematic analytical problems to generate new insights for policy considerations
QUALIFICATIO
- Academic Qualifications: Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Econometrics, Information Communication and Technology, or equivalent. Master's degree or professional qualifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
- Experience: At least 2-years working experience in data analytics and data science
