Lead, direct and motivate subordinates to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) assigned to the Head DCM, Malaysia and drive the business activities with the objective of maintaining Maybank IB's position as one of the market leaders in the arrangement of capital markets transactions;
Creation, origination, conceptualization and execution of Debt Capital Market (DCM) deals;
Work with the Client Coverage Teams to originate and close mandated Debt Capital Markets (DCM) deals;
Managing and developing proper training/guidance to subordinates to deliver quality DCM products/ deliverables in the most efficient and effective manner;
Development of team members technical and soft skills relevant to the work assignments;
Ensure proper internal controls and compliance to the relevant guidelines applicable to the business including those issued by the Securities Commission and Bank Negara Malaysia (where applicable);
Developing, managing and maintaining relationships with clients from the product perspective and to ensure business continuity;
Presenting credit papers in the various underwriting committees required within Maybank IB and the Maybank Group and Fixed Income Pricing Committee (FIPC) as and when required.
Job Requirements:
Tertiary or relevant professional qualification (i.e. CFA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
At least 10 years experience in related field
Financial Analysis & Financial Modeling
Strong credit background
Possessed strong network or client base relationship
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Problem solving skills
Able to do make strategic decision and conduct strategic initiatives to enhance the department's bottom line and maintain market leadership.
