Position Overview
Working under own initiative and with Regional IT, Country Management, and Administration teams in Asia to manage priorities for development of functionalities, enhancements, and user support for our administration system.
Provide oversight and guidance to ensure consolidation of business requirements is within standards from system users, and global / regional initiatives. Bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions to align and execute our program initiatives. Monitor development release cycles to deliver priorities and support resolution of production support issues to ensure seamless business operations for six Administration Teams in Asia.
Ensures department alignment and coordination with other global and regional functions of the company to achieve corporate business strategies and vision.
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in consolidating business requirements, for system development, from local offices and across global and regional functions.
- Manage short to mid-term (6 months 2 years) plans and roadmaps that will support the local offices in optimizing process and system, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement for long term benefit.
- Work in partnership with IT to monitor development release cycles, and liaise with system users and other stakeholders, to align expectations and outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the IT team to support identification and analysis of production support issues to provide resolution effectively and minimize disruptions to business operations.
- Implement Agile project management methodologies to effectively prioritize, manage and deliver on program goals. Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and risk to ensure delivery of agreed deliverables.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local offices, and global and regional functions. Facilitate open communication and collaborative solutions between IT, system users, and stakeholders.
- Manage validation processes for developed solutions ensuring alignment of business requirements and quality standards before transitioning to user acceptance testing (UAT). Coordinate efforts between business stakeholders and the technology team to facilitate UAT.
- Oversee and ensure the delivery of project-level analysis across multiple initiatives by guiding the team in producing documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, process diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan).
- Produce, monitor, and manage meaningful Management Information on the roll-out and ongoing deployment of agreed people, process, and system-based solutions.
- Oversee Risk, Compliance and Audit issues across areas of operations to ensure identification and timely closure of observations and actions, leading activity to improve operational compliance.

Required
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 8+ years of commercial work experience in financial services operations
- Strong knowledge of insurance or reinsurance industry including knowledge of insurance business processes
- Green Belt Lean/Six Sigma Certification
- Project management experience and/or certification
Preferred
- Master's Degree or equivalent
- Black Belt Lean/Six Sigma Certification
- 5 or more years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding and experience with Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience interacting with senior leaders/stakeholders
