Prepare and publish reports, maintain and develop proprietary database, build quantitative models and spreadsheets, compile presentation materials and information for other research products.
Proactively identify and monitor developments for assigned area of research coverage, and disseminate key market information to research analysts, clients and internal stakeholders.
Conduct macroeconomic and financial market research to provide views and recommendations.
Coordinate the publication and dissemination of research reports and products.
Revert on requests from internal stakeholders and external clients in a timely fashion.
Coordinate and participate in discussions involving cross-disciplinary research.
Assist in the planning and implementation of projects of strategic importance.
Conduct other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Head of Research.
Key Requirements:
Strong academic background in Economics, Finance or other equivalent professional qualifications.
Candidate should have at least 2 years of experience covering Economics or financial markets.
Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of economic and financial market concepts.
Excellent written and spoken English, with ability to effectively communicate thoughts in a succinct and dynamic manner.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as having a proactive approach to problem solving.
High level of personal motivation to improve knowledge and skills, as well as having the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines.
Proficiency in Bloomberg, Macrobond, Eviews/Mathlab/Stata or other statistical programmes is recommended, and mandatory for Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
