What would you do
Lead the System & Application Department to provide high quality support services for Touch n Go Applications and ensure effective delivery of problem resolution.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Application Support
- Working closely with Business Owner and Business Analyst, for understanding of systems functional and non-functional requirements in the execution of business process improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Team members by providing the information, knowledge and methods for product deliverables to align with company's vision.
- To ensure that the Team members follow and comply with Touch n Go standard operating procedures, in terms of trouble shooting, and version control.
- Providing and ensuring complete and proper systems and projects documentation and preparation of systems specifications, including revising manuals, and documenting user procedures.
- Working closely with QA team in planning and executing system and user acceptance tests and troubleshoot application and related performance
2. Process Improvement / Innovation
- Identify opportunities for continuous business improvement and work closely with the Developer team to develop and implement effective enterprise solutions to help improve efficiency of current software applications and systems
3. Customer Service / Responsiveness
- Prioritize issues raised and resolve it within the agreed SLA.
- Coordinate escalation and resolution of major service issues. Report promptly to management and business users regarding critical outages until resolution.
Other Tasks
- Any other duties and tasks assigned and/or as required.
Accountability
- Stays current with technological developments related to cloud infrastructure and service-oriented architecture solutions
- Ensure the team has sufficient competency and knowledge to support their operational role.
- Ensure all critical issues escalated to Application Support Team (within TNG control) are resolved timely.
- Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information.
Who should join us
- Degree in a Computer Science or similar discipline from a recognized institution
- Professional certification would be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge in SQL scriptinge
- Minimum 10-12 years in software development and application support
- At least 2 years of technical experience must have been in a supervisory or management capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong analytical skills and able to work effectively to solve problems
