Detailed Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Product Design and Development
  o Collaborate with Technical Leads to design and implement technical solutions inmultiple market segments that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  o Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to developworld-class products in highly regulated markets.
  o Familiar with EE development processes & workflows to realize products on aPCBA and product/system level.
  o With the relevant technical competencies, execute product realization fromconceptual stages all the way through manufacturing transition.
  o Support the development of technical proposals for customers, providing technicalsolutions to realize concepts and estimating associated labor and material costsrequired.
• Continuous Learning and Innovation
  o Always staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, regulations, and best practices to contribute to the advancement of design best practices, procedures, quality, efficiency or the acquisition of new capabilities within the organization.
  o Passionate about solving complex issues and innovating under tight projectrequirements.
• Design for Manufacturing & Quality Assurance
  o Products that are not manufacturable will not benefit our customers and moreimportantly the end user. This role requires collaboration with manufacturingpartners to ensure seamless production and timely delivery.
  o Able to identify and evaluate materials/components and manufacturing processesthat align with product requirements and are cost-effective to implement.
  o Proficient in product development life cycle processes and compliance to product quality standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Proficiency with HDL and IP design such as VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog.
• Experience in designing digital circuits and systems that encompass one or more of the following areas:
  • Digital controller design that covers MPU / MCU/ FPGA / GPU
  • Storage and memory device interfaces
  • Familiar with various digital interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR, LVDS,SerDes etc.
  • SI & PI simulation and validation
  • Proficient with schematic & layout design tools (KiCAD, OrCAD, CadenceConcept/Allegro, Altium Designer)
  • A good understanding of product EMC, Safety & Environmental compliance requirements is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in firmware development is an added advantage.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Typical Experience

• Candidate with 0 - 7 years of direct working experience in product design within a multidisciplinary
  environment, having completed product development cycles.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English, ability to work with an international team.
• Good teamwork attitude, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Business travel is possible (including overseas travel).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Typical Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.

• PHD applicants with a lesser amount of years in industry experience will be considered
