Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit an outstanding individual with good academic grounding, visionary, energetic with pleasant personal attributes to join our Group Finance & Accounting team.The potential candidate is a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic results-driven individual of uncompromising integrity with a great sense of responsibility to meet the demands and challenges of group requirements. The position is a regional role based in Kuala Lumpur.

Associate, Group Finance

The Role

  • Supporting financial accounting and reporting functions, treasury, taxation, legal, regulatory reporting to relevant authorities for funds under management.
  • Providing senior management with advice on the financial implications and regulatory requirements of the funds under managed.
  • Preparing and reviewing group consolidation and financial reports, corporate tax, periodical statutory reporting to the relevant authorities, cash flow monitoring, corporate secretarial roles and key liaison person with outsourced service providers.
  • Analysing financial performance of investments and dynamic monitoring of on-going of investments on milestones, covenants, risk and undertakings.
  • Acquiring fair knowledge in reviewing legal agreements and monitoring the milestones in the agreement.
  • Familiar with valuations on investments with various methodologies in accordance with the Investment Valuation Guidelines and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Managing and driving timely delivery of group quarterly investment and financial results, budget for cost management and cash flow statements and ad-hoc reports assigned from time to time.

The Person

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in

(i)an international accounting firm with financial services particularly in financial services sector is an added advantage; and/or

(ii)a financial management and reporting of a financial institution/ investment management company.

  • Bachelor in Accountancy and a professional qualification i.e. ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Solid technical knowledge in IFRS and Singapore FRS.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate and value add to the management decision-making process from a financial perspective.
  • Possess good leadership skills, team-oriented work approach, self-driven with solutions-oriented mind-set, meticulous and resourceful in both routine and complex tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and able to interact confidently at all levels in a fast pace environment.
