Role Description
As an Associate, Finance & Treasury, you will be responsible for managing financial statements, overseeing financial reporting, and contributing to the organization's financial management strategy. You will be expected to perform detailed financial analyses, assist in budgeting and forecasting and communicate insights to stakeholders for effective decision-making.
1.Bookkeeping and Financial Operations
Processing all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, journal vouchers, payroll inputs, and staff claim.
Prepare and process payment and disbursement (e.g., online banking transaction, telegraphic transfers, or bank draft).
Liaising with bankers on any banking-related transactions.
Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions into the accounting systems.
Assist in monthly and quarterly closing activities, including reconciliation, schedules and management reports.
2.Treasury Activities
Prepare instruction letters, communication memos and related documentation.
Liaise and negotiate with bankers on bank rates.
3.External Reporting
Prepare quarterly and annual submissions for external stakeholders such as the Securities Commission and Bank Negara Malaysia.
Ensure reports comply with the requirements and internal deadlines.
4.Audit & Tax
Assist in compiling financial data, supporting documentation and analysis required by the external auditors and tax agents.
5.Administrative & Compliance
Maintain proper documentation and records to ensure easy retrieval of documents.
Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and compliance requirements.
Assist in internal review to strengthen internal controls, efficiency, and accuracy in finance operations.
6.Other Duties
Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Principal, Finance & Treasury.
Job Requirements
At least 1-3 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, audit and or related functions
Strong Understanding of accounting principles and financial operations
Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
