Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Assist management to organize and direct efforts of the System Support Unit (SSU) strategies and policies and to ensure its alignment with IT Department overall strategy, policies and objectives.

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist management in planning, implementation strategy and organize the SSU Operations with Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist to establish the policies and processes pertaining to the SSU and communicate the same to all unit's staff.
  • Assist and manage CAPEX/OPEX project timeline for all assigned projects.
  • Manages, monitoring performance, ensuring high availability, managing user access, implementing security measures, optimizing costs and ensuring services running smoothly for all organization's Microsoft Azure and other Cloud infrastructure, including deploying and configuring resources like virtual machines, storage, and networks.
  • Assist SSU yearly OPEX and CAPEX budget to ensure all SSU planned project/program and operation run smoothly include Cloud subscription, software (licenses) and backup.
  • Manages and monitors all documentation for technical guidance including problem-solving skills and as second-level assistance for support technicians related to infrastructure.
  • Manages and tracking technical issues and resolutions, coordinate resolution and escalation efforts as needed.
  • Planning and tracking the Key Performance Indicator.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent and at least 5 years working experience in the related field.
  • At least 3 years working experience in Microsoft Azure
  • Minimum of 2+ years of industry experience working with Cloud Environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, networking, Backup, Disaster Recovery, security, and automation tools like PowerShell or Azure CLI.
  • Project Management would be an added advantage.
  • Preferable skill(s): Cloud technologies specifically Microsoft Azure (Certified in Azure Cloud is an added advantage), team management experience and Backup technologies.
  • Must have good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • A team player committed and result oriented with strong sense of responsibility to meet deadline.
  • Good ability to multitask, and a willingness to work with employees from all departments within the company.
  • Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
  • Possess strong problem-solving, good analysis & design to comply with user requirement/needs, customer-relation and attentive to details.
  • Will be involved/immediate response in standby activity.
