Role Overview:

The Associate Manager of Financial Reporting is primarily accountable and responsible for overall accuracy, completeness, timeliness and integrity of statutory and management reporting of TNG Digital Group Sdn Bhd and its subsidiaries. A key contributor to internal and external audit initiatives.

Support the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting in all aspects of finance undertakings, which includes but not limited to special projects, product launches, process overhaul/optimization, Board/BAC materials and advise on technical accounting issues.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain proper and relevant accounting policies in line with IFRS, MFRS, TNG Digital accounting policies and SOPs
  • Ensure accurate and efficient monthly & quarterly closing of financial statements and reporting – helping to drive actions through analysis, commercial reasoning, and business rationale from financial perspective
  • Manage the timely and accurate amalgamation & consolidation of Group financial results
  • Preparation of analysis material and reports for Board of Directors (BOD), Shareholders / Investors and other key Stakeholders
  • Ensure high standards of corporate governance and transparency with stakeholders
  • Drive process standardization and optimization to eliminate inefficiency adding value throughout entire chain of finance processes
  • Assist on coordination with internal and external auditors to ensure audit objectives are achieved in an orderly and timely manner
  • Promote adequate accounting competence and knowledge among internal stakeholders and finance team
  • Bring a strategic mindset toward discovering opportunities and identifying recommendations to enhance finance and business processes
  • Perform self-inspection on work areas and implement measures to ensure compliance to accounting practices, policies, and guidelines

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field
  • Member of recognized professional accounting body, i.e. MIA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW or equivalent
  • 5+ years of progressive hands-on operational finance and audit experience, preferably in a large conglomerate with diversified businesses. Experience in a public listed company will be highly advantageous
  • Hands on experience in managing Finance, Accounting & Consolidation for a Group of companies in an ERP environment
  • Working proficiency with Oracle Fusion will be an advantage
  • Proven timely execution track record
  • Results oriented and able to run parallel workstreams against fixed deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong business judgment and excellent project management skills
  • High detail and process-oriented, data-driven with strong analytical abilities
  • Comfortable with AI tools and a productivity mindset
