Functional

The responsibilities of an Associate Product Manager (APM), Deposit Components, are focused on detailed execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement within their assigned product area:

Component Strategy & Backlog Management:

  • Contribute to the refinement of the product vision and strategy for specific deposit components (e.g., Core Account Management, Transaction Processing, Savings & Goal-Based Products, Low-Cost & Financial Inclusion Products, or Product Security & Compliance).

  • Own, define, and meticulously manage the backlog for their assigned component, prioritizing user stories and initiatives based on business value, customer needs, and technical dependencies.

  • Translate high-level product requirements into detailed, clear, and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria for the development team.

Customer & Market Insight Application:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of market trends and customer feedback specific to their component area.

  • Support the NGPM in gathering and prioritizing requirements from various stakeholders, focusing on the implications for their assigned component.

  • Actively participate in user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gain deep insights into end-user needs and pain points related to their component.

Agile Development Execution:

  • Collaborate daily with cross-functional development teams (engineering, design, QA) within an Agile framework (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for their component, providing clarity and guidance during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

  • Oversee the development, testing, and release of features within their component, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.

Data-Driven Optimization:

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics specific to their assigned component (e.g., usage rates, transaction success rates, customer satisfaction for component-specific features).

  • Leverage data to identify areas for improvement and inform decisions regarding feature enhancements and optimizations.

Innovation Support & Experimentation:

  • Research and propose innovative solutions or features for their component, staying informed about relevant FinTech trends and emerging technologies.

  • Support the NGPM in designing and executing experiments (e.g., A/B tests) related to their component's functionality.

Compliance Adherence:

  • Ensure that all features and processes within their assigned component adhere to relevant financial regulations, data privacy laws, and security standards.

  • Work closely with compliance teams to validate solutions and address any regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the development team and other product owners, as well as broader business stakeholders.

  • Resolve impediments and ensure smooth workflow within their component's development lifecycle.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product development, business analysis, or a related role, preferably within financial services or a technology-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated experience working within Agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Experience in defining user stories, managing backlogs, and collaborating with engineering teams.

  • Familiarity with conducting user research and analyzing data to inform product decisions.
