Associate Tech Lead (C# / .NET Core)

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Join a forward-thinking engineering organization where innovation, ownership, and technical excellence are at the core. We are looking for a hands-on Associate Tech Lead (C# / .NET Core) who can drive architecture, mentor engineers, and lead high-impact delivery within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end technical design and architecture of complex systems
  • Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing significantly to code while setting the standard for quality and scalability
  • Lead by example in clean code, testing, and maintainable system design
  • Make and influence critical decisions on architecture, performance, and system trade-offs
  • Partner closely with engineers and product stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system risks
  • Champion engineering best practices, including code reviews, observability, and reliability
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native and DevOps practices, ensuring efficient delivery pipelines
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to optimize productivity and accelerate delivery

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with clear depth in backend development
  • Strong expertise in C# / .NET Core, including building and scaling Web APIs and working with Entity Framework
  • Proven experience in system design and architecture of distributed or scalable applications
  • Solid proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular or similar)
  • Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and data modeling
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and building cloud-native applications
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation
  • Experience working in Agile teams, contributing to iterative and incremental delivery
  • Familiarity with AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day engineering workflows

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI)
  • Familiarity with Azure AI services
