About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Career Success, the Associate is a high-impact execution specialist responsible for the end-to-end success of our career placement initiatives. This role is the operational engine that moves learners from onboarding through On-the-Job Training (OJT) and into full-time employment.
We are looking for a proactive, operationally efficient doer who combines strong data analytics with the interpersonal versatility to engage with corporate partners, mentors, and the general public. You are someone who doesn't just report on gapsyou anticipate them and drive the solutions.
Your key responsibilities
1. Data Analytics, Reporting & Administration
- Data Ownership: Maintain and update organisational databases, spreadsheets, and Job Trackers to ensure 100% accuracy and data integrity.
- Performance Insights: Analyse data trends across projects to identify bottlenecks. Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports on learner activity, placement conversion, and milestones.
- Operational Efficiency: Assist in developing and implementing streamlined administrative processes to enhance workflow.
- Internal Coordination: Work across departments to gather information, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless flow of communication.
2. Strategic Partnerships & Employer Engagement
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify and map potential Talent Partners that align with our goals and learner profiles.
- Outreach & Negotiation: Initiate contact with potential partners via email, phone, or networking events. Collaborate with Legal and BizDev teams to finalise partnership agreements.
- Account Management: Proactively manage and nurture established relationships. Regularly communicate with partners to monitor progress and identify expansion opportunities.
- Placement Coordination: Facilitate interview scheduling and follow-ups between learners and hiring partners.
3. Mentor & Progress Coordination
- Coaching Alignment: Track mentor engagement logs and coordinate closely with Mentors to ensure coaching support is directly aligned with specific placement goals. Allocate and divide learners strategically among Mentors to ensure balanced portfolios and effective support.
- Accountability: Monitor learner job application activity and conduct structured follow-ups to ensure they meet reporting expectations.
4. Learner Community & Alumni Engagement
- Alumni Tracking & Data Intelligence: Maintain a live database of graduate career progress and achievements. Use regular surveys to gather industry feedback, ensuring our programs evolve with market trends.
- Community Engagement & Branding: Develop and execute a communication plan (newsletters, events, reunions) to keep the alumni community connected and informed.
- Mentorship Programs: Create and manage programs connecting alumni with current learners to provide guidance and support career development.
The ideal candidate
Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, Teaching, or a related field.
- Experience:3 to 5 years of related working experience, ideally within career services, recruitment, or project management.
- Language: Excellent written and spoken command of English and Malay.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel/PowerPoint) and expert-level comfort with Data Analytics (Google Sheets, Excel) and database management.
