Why does this job exist and why is it critical
This role is to carry out the responsibilities in ensuring that the Internal Assurance's audit automation initiatives are effectively implemented and operated, especially in the design, development and operation of the continuous auditing technologies and processes. The role will essentially help to enable IA and the business in gaining insights on the risks, governance and controls through advancement in audit automation using data analytics.
What are you accountable for
Analyse audit analysis requirements and translate into audit automation design using applicable technologies e.g. data analytics, RPA, AI
Develop, test, implement, operate and maintain data analytics and/or automation solutions using suitable tools or systems with satisfactory quality
Liaise with stakeholders to obtain continuous data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain a suitable database platform for IA's automation purposes
Follow-upwith the business in ensuring that all identified internal control findings from continuous assurance results are remediated with appropriate actions
Implement and carry out adequate data governance activities to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of stored and processed data by the continuous assurance platform
Accountable to drive and support the team in areas of audit data analysis, design and operationalization of automation as well as coaching the team on usage of those tools/ technologies
Working closely and build relationship with Stakeholders for ensuring effective continuous assurance service deliverables from Internal Assurance Division
Monitor and track closure of the exceptions generated from key controls checklist (KCC) automation report
Involve and provide support in assurance activities
What do you need to have for this role
Bachelor Degree in IT / Engineering / Computer Science
Data Science / Data Analytics Certifications will be an added advantage
Total relevant experience in development of data analysis and/or database related systems not less than 3 years, preferably within internal or external audit environment
Business / Commercial and/or IT background experience will be an added advantage
Possess business acumen and overall business process, operations and compliance understanding with the ability to manage stakeholders from all levels
Strong knowledge of and experience in using one or more analytics tools / languages (e.g. ACL, Arbutus, SQL, Phyton, etc)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, problem solve, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with some expertise in data models, database design development, data mining and ETL techniques
People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations
Working knowledge of project management skills such as Agile methodologies
