JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist in planning and executing audit assignments for a portfolio of diversified clients, SME and PLC.
- Prepare audit working papers in compliance with relevant standards and by-laws.
- Perform audit procedures including testing of transactions, account balances, and internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and financial statements.
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Identify and report audit findings and potential issues to supervisors.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of audit work papers.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks within budget and deadlines.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting and auditing standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant discipline and/ or a professional qualification (e.g. ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA/MICPA/CPA Aust./MBA).
- Membership in professional bodies and MIA will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of audit experience are encouraged to apply.
- Required language(s): English,
- Good technical knowledge in MFRS and MPERS as well as International Auditing Standards (ISAs)
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and complete assignments within time constraints, budget, and deadlines.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Team players who are also able to work independently with minimum supervision.
