About the Role

As an Audit Manager in our Johor Bahru office, you'll leverage your technical audit experience and leadership skills to oversee audit engagements, manage client portfolios, and mentor your team. This role offers exposure to multinational clients, IPO readiness, and complex group auditswhile supporting your career growth within our regional network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements in compliance with client methodology and Malaysian standards (e.g., MFRS, ISA).
  • Handle technically complex assignments, including multinational group audits, IPO reporting, due diligence, and listed-company audits.
  • Oversee audit reviews, draft audit reports, identify issues, present findings with recommendations, and manage timely follow-ups and delivery.
  • Proactively manage audit client portfoliosensuring service quality, timely billing, and collections
  • Stay updated with the latest auditing and accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to maintain audit quality and firm compliance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and national technical teams to support capability building and problem-solving.
  • Mentor and develop audit staff; conduct performance reviews and support their professional development.

Qualifications & Experience
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, or possession of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA, CPA Australia)
  • Membership with MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) is an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in audit and assurance within a reputable firm (Big Four/mid-tier preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with listed companies, IPO-related engagements, group audits, or due diligence processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in English; Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS and auditing standards; IT literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office) is essential
