Audit Review & Engagement Manager (Audit Firm, AI-enabled audit model)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced audit professional to strengthen the quality, consistency, and

progress of our audit engagements. This is not a conventional portfolio-management role. You will focus on reviewing audit files and financial statements, coaching team members, resolving routine technical matters, and keeping engagements moving towards completion. Significant or highly judgemental matters will be escalated to the Engagement Partner.

We are actively developing an AI-enabled audit model using Microsoft Copilot and Agentic AI. The successful candidate will help us improve and standardise audit processes through practical use of emerging technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality & File Review: Review audit working papers, financial statements, and supporting documentation prepared by seniors and juniors to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and audit issues.
• Coaching & Development: Coach team members to improve audit quality, documentation, and professional judgement. Provide practical guidance to help weaker auditors complete work to required standards.
• Technical Resolution: Resolve routine audit and accounting issues independently. Escalate significant, unusual, or highly judgemental matters to the Engagement Partner with clear summaries and potential options.
• Engagement Progress: Monitor engagement progress, follow up on outstanding information/review points, and coordinate with teams and clients to meet agreed completion deadlines.
• Standards Compliance: Support consistent application of SFRS(I), IFRS, and Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA). Identify recurring errors and bottlenecks to refine methodology.
• Process & AI Innovation: Contribute to the design and adoption of AI-enabled audit processes (Microsoft Copilot, Agentic AI) and develop standardized templates and review checklists.

Requirements:

• Solid hands-on external audit experience with proven capability in reviewing audit working papers
• and financial statements prepared by other team members.
• Ability to coach less experienced staff and confidence resolving routine technical matters without constant partner involvement.
• Good working knowledge of SFRS(I), IFRS, and Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA), paired with an organized, supportive approach to driving engagements to completion.
• Strong interest in leveraging technology, automation, data analytics, or AI to enhance audit
• quality and workflow efficiency.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent are welcome, but technical ability and hands-on review experience matter most.
