About the Role

Our Automation team drives innovation through intelligent automation from Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to AI-driven solutions. We do not limit ourselves to a single tool; instead, we explore, evaluate, and apply the technology best suited to each challenge.

We are looking for a Automation Developer with hands-on experience who can enhance, support and contribute to the development of automation solutions from the ground up. This role involves assessing feasibility, designing functions and reusable components, supporting requirement gathering, testing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving automation frameworks.

You will work closely with the team lead to brainstorm, design, and scale robust automation solutions. This is a practical, analytical, and solution-driven role that blends technical development, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Immediate Focus (Core Priorities):

  • Participate in development of automation with tools (RPA, API, Python, VBA, etc.) and apply development best practices to deliver solution.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation (SOPs, Solution Design Documents, UAT scripts).
  • Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and UAT execution.
  • Support solution refactoring assist in improving performance, scalability, and maintainability of existing automation frameworks.
  • Support and manage business users with their requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team lead to design structured automation solutions aligned with best practices.

Development & Collaboration:

  • Assist in building reusable components (functions, libraries, templates) to streamline development.
  • Provide production (BAU) support monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation solutions (RPA, API, Python, VBA, etc.).

Innovation & Improvement:

  • Keen to explore emerging technologies, AI integrations, and API-driven automation opportunities.
  • Participate in option exploration feasibility assessment, preliminary design, and prototyping.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Strengthen documentation, coding standards, automation governance, and support models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline preferably in a STEM field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in automation/RPA development, software development, or business/process analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down issues logically.
  • Exposure to or experience with UiPath, Power Automate, Python, C#, HTML or JavaScript.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in solution design.
  • Awareness of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and API-based integration is advantageous.
  • Having project management experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io) and methodologies (e.g., BPMN).
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle) and scripting for automation or data handling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills able to support feasibility exploration.
  • Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and an execution-focused mindset.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills actively contributes to design and brainstorming discussions.
  • Passion for continuous learning, experimentation, and applying technology to simplify processes.
  • Previous project experience in consulting, medical, or banking environments is advantageous.
