Automation Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time Automation Engineer role based in Puchong. The Automation Engineer will design, configure, and implement automation and process control solutions, including PLC, SCADA, and related control systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing client requirements, developing system architectures, programming and testing control logic, and commissioning systems at client sites. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, optimizing system performance, and preparing technical documentation such as schematics, functional descriptions, and test reports. The Automation Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, support project planning and execution, and provide training or guidance to clients on new systems.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Automation and Process Control knowledge, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial control architectures.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, with knowledge of control panels, wiring, instrumentation, and relevant standards.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving hardware and software issues in automation systems.
• Candidates should possess related skills, such as configuring, programming, and integrating systems into production environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs, and prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
• Comfort working on-site at industrial facilities in Puchong and surrounding areas, with willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid on-site and remote environment.
