We are seeking a talented Automation & Field Implementation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automating test and deployment workflows, validating hardware-software systems, and delivering Ectrons end-to-end solutions to customers in the field. This role combines hands-on automation engineering with real-world field implementation you will work across test automation, CI/CD pipelines, on-site deployment, and customer support to ensure our solutions are delivered reliably and operate seamlessly from day one.
RequirementsDevelop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to validate Ectrons hardware and software solutions.
Design and implement Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test setups to simulate real-world operating conditions.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and release workflows.
Support manufacturing and production automation developing tools and scripts to streamline production validation and quality checks.
Lead on-site deployment and commissioning of Ectrons end-to-end solutions at customer sites.
Perform system integration across hardware, firmware, and software layers during field implementation.
Provide customer training on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
Offer remote diagnostics and troubleshooting support post-deployment to ensure continued system reliability.
Document test plans, deployment procedures, field observations, and resolution logs thoroughly.
Required Skills and Expertise:Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or equivalent for test automation, tooling, and deployment scripting.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
Hands-on experience with HIL test frameworks and automated test infrastructure.
Comfortable working in Linux environments for scripting, system diagnostics, and deployment tasks.
Familiarity with communication interfaces commonly used in embedded systems UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, CAN, RS485.
Core Skills:Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and system architecture documents.
Experience with version control using Git for managing test scripts and deployment configurations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing field engagements.
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional hardware, firmware, and software teams.
