We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Group Credit Risk department under Group Risk Management division as a Manager/Assistant Vice President, Credit Risk Policy.

The Role

A successful candidate in this position will be responsible for the formulation/enhancement of core & supplementary policies specific to credit risk, and also build sound controls in managing Group Credit Risk.

Job Description

  • Revamp of core credit risk framework and policies taking into latest changes in internal & regulatory requirements.
  • Simplify and remove redundancies in processes and controls for better management of credit risk.
  • Monitor adherence to the Group's approved policies / risk limits and regulatory requirements to ensure all activities are being controlled within the limits approved.
  • Provide independent risk assessment to ensure risks are addressed accordingly prior to sign off.
  • Identify areas of improvement in managing existing and new key risk ventures.
  • Enhance oversight of end-to-end risk process, ensure no significant non-compliance events.
  • Execute management action plans and address areas of improvement for regulatory/internal audit findings.
  • Attend to credit risk policy related queries by various stakeholders.
  • Strengthen process improvement and support the independent memo review.
  • Promote & support risk conscious culture and best practice controls within the Bank through interaction with teams across different Line of Businesses.
  • Support collaboration with Line of Business (LOB) in formulation and development of appropriate policies in addressing new key risks and appropriate risk mitigation.

  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations governing credit risk management.
  • Awareness of best practices and market trends.

Experience

  • Tertiary Graduate or Qualified Professional with at least 5 years of experience in SME, Commercial and Corporate specific areas, with exposure to risk management and regulatory policy requirements.
  • Experience in internal audit or credit underwriting will be an added advantage.
  • This position is open to Malaysian citizens only.
  • 5+ years of Banking experience, preferably in Credit Underwriting.
  • 5+ years of work experience in Credit Risk Rating (preferably Moody's and S&P).
  • 5+ years of work experience with Internal Audit.
