Job Summary
As a Relationship Manager at United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth individual or corporate clients, providing comprehensive financial solutions and fostering strong, long-term relationships to achieve business targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Proactively acquire, develop, and retain a portfolio of high-net-worth individual or corporate clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
- Provide sound financial advice and recommend appropriate banking products and services, including loans, deposits, investments, foreign exchange, and treasury solutions.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessments for clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present tailored financial proposals and solutions to clients, effectively articulating their value proposition.
- Monitor client portfolios regularly, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling UOB products and services.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients through regular engagement, communication, and exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with product specialists, credit officers, and other internal stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes relevant to the banking industry and client segments.
- Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the bank.
- Ensure all client interactions and transactions adhere to UOB's compliance, risk management, and operational policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in relationship management within the banking or financial services industry, preferably with a focus on high-net-worth or corporate clients.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of banking products and services, including lending, deposits, investments, and treasury solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and influence clients.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and provide sound financial advice.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and client-focused with a strong commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE, TBE) are a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in other local dialects is an advantage.
